Ingredients
For the Dough (or use store-bought pizza crust):
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- ¾ tsp salt
- ¾ cup warm water (110°F)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
For the Sauce:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp dried dill
- ¼ tsp black pepper
For the Toppings:
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sliced dill pickles
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
For Garnish (Optional):
- Fresh dill, chopped
- Ranch dressing for dipping
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil, then knead until a smooth dough forms (about 5 minutes). Cover and let rise for 30-45 minutes. If using store-bought dough, skip this step.
Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, dried dill, and black pepper. Set aside.
Roll Out the Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. Transfer it onto parchment paper for easy handling.
Assemble the Pizza: Spread the garlic-dill sauce over the dough, leaving a small border. Sprinkle mozzarella and white cheddar cheese evenly over the top. Add sliced dill pickles.
Bake: Transfer the pizza (with parchment) onto the hot baking sheet or pizza stone. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Finish & Serve: Sprinkle with red pepper flakes, oregano, and Parmesan cheese. Garnish with fresh dill if desired. Slice and serve with ranch dressing on the side!
Notes
- For extra crunch, try using fried pickles instead of regular slices!
- If you love spice, add pickled jalapeños or a drizzle of hot honey after baking.
- This pairs perfectly with a cold beer or a refreshing lemonade.
